Tracey Polowich | Contigo Business Services
Organizational Excellence

A Two Part Virtual Series | June 2023

Meet Tracey Polowich  |  Contigo Business Services

Tracey has experience providing consulting services to municipal and not-for-profit organizations  in Alberta. This experience includes organizational review work, mentorship of municipal finance  personnel, process documentation and improvement, facilitation of strategic planning workshops  with council and senior administrative staff members, and policy development.

With experience as a former municipal finance employee, financial statement auditor and  through the past 12 years of consulting, Tracey has gained a good sense of how the finance  functions within municipal government operate and the resources, capacities and capabilities  needed to deliver outcomes successfully. Tracey’s background with Organizational Excellence  Specialists in the areas of quality and excellence means your organization will benefit from her relentless need to seek improvement and eliminate non-value adding activity.

Designing, Documenting & Improving Work Processes

Every municipal manager should know about 10 best management practices in the Work  Processes area that are common to high performing organizations. Knowledge about these  practices will help management learn how to get started with Work Process development and  improvement and how to engage staff to improve organizational performance.

During this two-part workshop, participants will learn how to design, document, monitor, control  and improve Work Processes as well as where the Work Processes area fits in the management  system. Participants will self-assess their organization to identify strengths and opportunities for  improvement and prepare an improvement plan to address gaps.

This workshop is valuable in shifting from a reactive (firefighting) position to a  preventative and continuous improvement position.

Member rate: $125.00 |  Non-Member Rate: $175.00
(Rates include Parts 1 and 2)

Who should attend: Managers and Team Leads in the public sector
Timing: Two – 2-hour workshops, June 13th and June 27th
