GFOA Alberta’s Municipal Forum for Populations Under 10K
During the GFOA Alberta 2024 annual conference, attendees had the opportunity to collaborate, discuss and engage in one of 3 discussion forums depending on the size or type of their municipality. The forums included Rural Municipalities, Municipalities over 10k population and Municipalities under 10k
population. At each of the forums, most of the participants agreed that they would benefit from additional meetings if GFOA Alberta was able to facilitate this in a virtual setting.
As a result, GFOA Alberta hosted a 2-hour discussion forum for Municipalities under 10K population on Thursday, September 5th at 2:00 PM.
This forum was moderated by Dawn Sauve, who is a GFOA – Professional Development Task Force Member. Agenda topics included an update from Municipal Affairs and other relevant topics, questions or concerns that have come forward to the moderator.
