Effective municipal performance measurement creates a link between Council’s strategy and operational plans using measures that are clear, consistent, and reflect impact to the community. The GFOA International recommends that program and service performance measures be developed and used as an important component of long-term strategic planning and decision making, which should be integrated into the budgeting process. This course will help you develop the knowledge and skills you need to achieve measurable outcomes, make evidence-based decisions, lead a more agile municipality, and most importantly, create high value impact for your residents and community.

•The keys to a good performance management model
•How to benchmark
•Program and service measurement model fundamentals
•Collecting data and evaluating results
•Reporting and communicating results
This course is eligible for 1.5 hours of CPA verifiable professional development and includes a brief quiz. Participants will receive a certificate of attendance.
