Established in 1979 and documented with just 49 members in 1989, the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) has now grown into a thriving community of over 1,144 municipal finance professionals dedicated to advancing excellence in government finance. From pioneering leadership to impactful conferences and steady membership growth, our commitment remains steadfast in shaping the future of public financial management.
