“Excelling at Excel” 4-Part Bootcamp
This four-part bootcamp takes municipal staff from Excel basics to confident, power-user skills using real-world finance examples. Participants will learn how to structure data, build formulas, analyze and report on municipal information, and then take a first step into automating workflows by connecting Excel with Python. No formal “analyst” title required — just a willingness to work smarter with spreadsheets you’re already using.
“Everyday AI” 4-Part Bootcamp
This four-part bootcamp is a gentle, practical introduction to AI for complete beginners who are curious but cautious. Participants will learn to use AI at home for writing, planning, creativity, and everyday organization, while gradually recognizing where similar ideas might one day help at work. The focus is on personal confidence and safe experimentation, not on making or implementing technology decisions for the municipality.
Webinars will be held via ZOOM, and will be available to members and non-members of GFOA alike. Additional information for each Seminar may be found below, while common characteristics include:

Do you spend too much time cleaning up reports exported from your financial system?
Are you retyping the same information instead of letting Excel fill it in for you?
