Payroll and Benefits Coordinator – Permanent, Full-Time (35 hours/week) Starting Wage $34.94/hour
The Payroll and Benefits Coordinator processes timely and accurate bi-weekly and monthly payrolls using the Dayforce HCM (Human Capital Management) platform and is responsible for the enrollment and delivery of various benefits programs (including extended health benefits through Alberta Municipalities/Sunlife and LAPP Pension). This position works closely with both Finance, performing various monthly and year end accounting processes and Human Resources, to ensure a high-quality employee experience.
We are looking for a payroll professional experienced with the Dayforce platform and the implementation of its various modules to advance manual processes. If you are certified as a PCP or PLP and have at least 3 years of experience overseeing the payroll process for a mid-sized organization (200+ employees), we would love to hear from you. If you have advanced Excel skills and a benefits certification, even better!
To be successful in this role, candidates will need to have exemplary time management skills, attention to detail, the ability to maintain confidentiality and inspire trust. Knowledge and experience in employment standards and related legislation is critical. A criminal record check satisfactory to the Town of Sylvan Lake is a condition of employment.
